Took praises the people of Ashford

Ashford Liberal Democrat's parliamentary candidate Chris Took has praised the people of Ashford for their support on polling day.

Speaking at an election barbecue on Saturday 7th May Chris spoke to and praised his hard working team for all their efforts during the election. Special mention was also reserved for the people of Ashford for their warmth and support over the last few weeks.

"Our vote at the County elections underlines that there is significant support for the Liberal Democrats in Ashford and the surrounding area. It is my own fault that this significant local gains were not translated to a greater national vote. I hope that the team in Ashford will re-select me as their candidate, I believe we can do some great things in the coming years."
