'Wings and Things' see party funds soar

Eileen and Cecil Anthony hosted yet another successful 'Wings and Things' BBQ on August 7th for Ashford Liberal Democrats.

'Wings and Things' is the biggest fundraising event for Ashford Liberal Democrats after their annual dinner. The proceeds of the event help to significantly fund both local and national election campaigns.

Speaking at the BBQ, parliamentary spokesman (and chef for the day) Chris Took said "members like Eileen and Cecil not only helps Ashford Liberal Democrats to contest elections but they also allow us to grow as a local party."

The event raised a mammoth £643 to break all previous fundraising figures.
