Ashford Liberal Democrats remember former President George Thomson

St Martin-in-the-Fields

Ashford Liberal Democrat members joined hundreds of others today at St Martin-in-the-Fields to remember their former President, The Right Honourable George Thomson, Baron Thomson of Monifieh.

The celebration was led by The Revd Nicholas Holtam, Vicar of St Martin-in-the-Fields and included contributions from Lord Thomson's former colleagues and contemporaries from the world of Domestic Politics, European Politics and Broadcasting.

"I felt that the service encapsulated, in a microcosm, the wonderfully diverse and colourful life that George led" commented Chris Took. "It was a tremendous celebration and of course an absolute pleasure to be part of the event."
