Thank you first and foremost to the support so many of you have shown me as a County Councillor during the last five years.

Politicians of all parties have rightly had a bad press recently. This is why I wanted to speak to you today in the run up to the June 4th election.

I have represented local people on Ashford Borough Council for 22 years and have been your Kent County Councillor for the last five years.

At election time you may receive many leaflets from different candidates - each with a long list of pledges and promises. Being a County Councillor though is not about the paper you deliver three weeks before an election - it's about the changes you deliver as an elected public servant.

I am proud of my record in serving you and I hope you will re-elect me as your County Councillor on June 4th.
